Performing internal audits and special projects to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, business processes, and procedures as well as financial due diligence at Bekaert operations throughout the Asia region.

Your role / 岗位描述
I. Completion of audit plan / special projects for Asia region

1. Develops and executes internal audit programs, under guidance of and with support from the Internal Audit Manager Bekaert Asia and Bekaert Group Internal Audit Department, based in Belgium.

2. Organizes audits as foreseen in the audit plan. Applies the Bekaert Internal Audit standard methodology and approach. Participates in kick-off meeting and wrap-up meeting and in the review of audit results with local management. Writes audit findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with minimal supervision.

3. Autonomously in the smaller-scale and “routine” audit projects, for which the Company’s standard methodology and approach will be shared. Gradually enlarges the scope of independently conducted audit work.d. Assists in “special” projects on request.

II. Operational Excellence

1. Cooperates with the colleagues of the Bekaert Group Internal Audit Department in further developing audit programs and procedures, and in carrying out the larger scale and delicate or ah-hoc projects.

2. Documents work papers in a clear, concise, neat, accurate and timely manner.

3. Follows up on the actions agreed in the audit projects by reviewing the status of action implementation and the related results of such implementation.

III. Effective communication and promote IA value-added advisory servicesa. Recommends improvements to the Company’s business process control systems to ensure the safeguarding of assets, to secure and check the reliability of its records (accounting, operational, administrative and production data control), to promote operational efficiency and to encourage adherence to policies established by management.b. Enhances internal control awareness in the organization, as well within audit projects as beyond. As an example, the Internal Audit function is responsible for giving internal control training to newly hired Managers. This mainly consists of training into the Company’s Policies and Procedures. Provides on job training for other auditor(s) demonstrating a team attitude.c. Establishes and maintains effective communications and relations with management and auditees, as well within the scope of audit projects as beyond. Step by step, is getting recognized in the organization as an expert in internal control.

IV. Assist in the development of audit plan a. Assists the Internal Audit Manager Bekaert Asia in developing short- and long-range internal audit plans based on the general and specific risk assessments.

V. Financial due diligence

1. Performing financial due diligence. Working with financial consultants as necessary.

2. Assisting with contract language.

3. Performing and assisting closing balance sheet work. Assist in negotiating closing balance sheet adjustments.

4. Arranging transition services to the integration team.

Your profile / 职位要求


I. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance

II. 3-5 years experience in internal and/or financial auditing or in financial control, and/or transaction experience in assessing Quality of Earnings and Quality of Assets analysis with a big 4 accounting firm.

III. CPA/CIA/ACCA certified

IV. Acquaintance with IFRS and SAP by preference

V. Having worked for an international company will be regarded as an asset
