Payroll - Supervisor (New project)
Responsibilities:
- Schedules, administers, and monitors the day-to-day activities for payroll team in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements
- Reviews work product and deliverables as necessary to ensure service levels and quality standards are consistently met by payroll team
- Conducts quality checks and/or reviews select work of team members; provides appropriate feedback on performance
- Trains, develops and motivates team members; provides guidance, direction and evaluation of team members
- Participates in the staff recruitment process
- Challenges existing processes and approaches and provides innovative suggestions; implements opportunities that improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and/or customer service
- Ensures process documents are reviewed and updated on a regular basis
- Serves as the escalation point for functional issues; works with Payroll Service Manager, Clients or others to resolve as necessary
- Participates client calls to share feedback and operational results
- Participates on service transitions projects as needed
- Oversees team staffing, scheduling, holiday & vacation management
Requirement:
- 5 years and above experience including at least 3 years in payroll area
- Shared Services or BPO experience preferred
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- With good PC skill (e.g., MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills (facilitation and presentation skills a plus)
- Strong spoken and written English
- Demonstrated supervisory skills such as teambuilding, training/coaching, providing constructive feedback to staff, effective delegation, staffing and scheduling
- Good organization, analytical and problem solving skills; logical flow of thought and process orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation; positive outlook, open, honest and ethical
- Flexible and dependable; willing to adjust work schedule as necessary to meet peak demands and customer requirements
Payroll - Senior Associate
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the timely and accurate collection, calculation and submission of monthly data
· Benefit administration including enrollment, termination and payment processing for local insurance & statutory benefit programs and ongoing support of benefit inquiries
· Respond to client phone enquiries in a timely and effective manner ensuring where an immediate response can be given, that the enquiry is escalated appropriately
· Ensure the accuracy of client information by regular conduct of audits
· Maximize the effectiveness of the HR function by using systems and procedures that ensure compliance with service standards
· Assist team lead in improving HR processes by undertaking regular reviews and assisting in reviews administrative systems and procedures
· Provide regular statistical reports and information analysis as required
Requirement:
· 3-4 years payroll experience
· With good PC skill (e.g., MS Excel, Word)
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Familiarity with Labor & Employment Law and tax regulations
· Attend to detail and takes initiative, customer oriented
· Good English language skill
· Understanding of general HR policies, procedures and current best practice will be a plus
· Demonstrated ability to set and meet objectives
· Flexibility and teaming skills
· Past experience in non-China payroll (such as Hong Kong) will be a plus
· Knowledge or experiences in Services Center, Outsourcing, Platinum Payroll SAP Payroll / HR Applications etc. will be a plus.
