ACCOUNTANT
Work Location: Qingdao (fab yard)
Duration: approx 2 years

Successful candidate will be hired by one of the KBR entities in China.


Position Summary:
The Accountant is primarily responsible in managing Qingdao Branch's book keeping and perform cash and working capital management; liaise with local bank for banking matters. Under general supervision, performs assignments requiring good knowledge of field and best practices, while adhering to accounting policies and procedures.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible in managing Qingdao Branch's book keeping
- Perform cash and working capital management and liaise with local bank for banking matters
- Provide full spectrum of accounting support including handling full set of accounts; accounts reconciliation; invoicing; accounts receivable, accounts payable and month end closing.
- Work with external parties such as auditors and tax advisors. Responsible for tax and statutory reporting and compliances.
- Co-ordinate with Singapore office to ensure payments are properly processed.
- Co-ordinate with parent company in Beijing on all necessary local reporting
- Assist with management reporting and day to day accounting functions.


Prerequisites:

- Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in MNC or large organisation
- Good understanding of PRC GAAP and US GAAP
- Familiar with PRC reporting requirements
- Project accounting experience and SAP is highly advantageous
- Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and a team player with pro-active attitude.
- Fluent in Chinese and English languages (both written and oral)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
