Working Location: Suzhou

Report to: Global Operations Director (oversea)

Job description


* Overall management of the Operation of the manufacturing plant in Suzhou

* Develop and implement annual manufacturing budget.

*Together with the Production and Quality Manager lead China production and quality teams with hands on leadership style

* Develop, implement and follow up production plans for China.

* Assess the team to identify areas of improvements

* Work closely with the team to build team spirit and implement changes

* Together with the Finance Manager initiate cost control programs and establish annual cost improvement objectives for the manufacturing and monitor that the Cost Improvement Plan goals are met.

* Together with the Production Manager ensure all fixed assets are maintained and are in best possible condition at all times

* Ensure that production capacity and capabilities are optimized and in balance with the annual demand.

* Work together with the Production Manager and the operators in the factory to continuously improve the production processes and production efficiency, with a target of cutting cost and improving delivery times.

* Together with the Quality Manager, manage further development of quality systems

* Improve overall product quality and reduce number of quality complaints

* Cooperate with R&D Department for new projects development

* Cooperate with Global Sourcing Department for components localization

* Develop a culture of continuous improvement

* Competence development of the staff in the company

* Motivate and encourage subordinates and create a good work environment

* Recruitment of personnel



Requirements


*Experience from mechanical & electrical assemble is a must

*University degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering

* Extensive Experience from manufacturing management.

* Have experience in running a production unit with focus on high quality, customer focus and agreed deadlines

* Be able to initiate and implement plan

* Experience from business to business operations

* Demonstrable hands on leadership and team building skills

* Ability to work independently

* Product and process knowledge related to assembly, machining, metal forming

* Ability to read and understand product specifications and drawings.

* Ability to develop himself and his subordinates

* Good Communications skills

* Good analytical skills

* Good command of written and spoken English

* Ability to develop relationships with sister companies’ operation management teams

* Customer oriented and flexible

* Quality oriented

* Experience quality measurement systems including ISO 9001 and ISO14000

* Experience from ERP systems and MS Office

* Ability and willingness to take unpopular decision for the good of the company.
