ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Marketing Director is expected to support the business growth agenda for Label and Packaging Materials (LPM) Greater China and ensure greater collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Neal Research Centre and other functions. He or she will play an important role in the leadership team to provide input on Marketing strategies and focus. He or she will work closely with China Sales and Asia Pacific Market Segments to help ensure LPM China achieve their business targets. This role will be a bridge between local sales needs to drive revenue and execution of the segment strategies and major initiatives involving Sales and Marketing.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
? Work closely with senior management and support teams to understand and communicate the strategic direction of the company to teams, help develop and implement long-term marketing strategies that are geared toward developing greater market share and profitability.
? Work with senior management to define the value proposition to the market, customers and industry including service, price and product platform strategies.
? Work closely with marketing staff and sales team to plan, implement and track effective marketing strategies to maximize the return on investment.
? Direct market research and competitive analysis.
? Lead benchmarking of marketing-related topics in support of segment and sales goals.
? Determine and position converter and end-user product needs information regarding product quality, industry best practices, product applications and consultative services.
? Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.
? Recommend changes in marketing philosophy and policy when such changes serve the best interests of the organization.
? Continuously evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plan to meet changing competitive market conditions.
? Study, analyze and report on quality of service, customer attitudes, economic conditions and government controls with respect to their effect on sales of existing or proposed products.
? Consult with and advise senior management on the marketing aspects of all major company activities.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
? 10+ years business experience, with emphasis on marketing desired.
? Management experience, with emphasis on large strategic accounts, ideally coupled with knowledge of specific industry.
? Experience in planning and forecasting, with practical experience in researching new opportunities and implementing successful account penetration.
? Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
? Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
? Experience in strategic leadership and negotiation.
? Experience in marketing leadership with international exposure.
? Demonstrated success in cross-functional projects or initiatives.
? Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
