Position Title : Project Manager

Department : Corporate Planning & Program Management Office

Report To : Department Head


Job Summary

To lead a medium to large project team of internal and/or external resources to deliver *** Group or *** China strategic program/projects to time, cost and quality (QTC) targets. Typically the total project spending exceed Rmb5 million.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure scope and deliverables of project are defined, agreed and meet sponsor's expectations
Work closely with wider business change case team and with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and to ensure these are feasible and translated into project scope and plan
Develop detail project plan and actively manage the project to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget and meet quality standard
Report and communicate to senior stakeholders on a regular basis, and ensure feedback mechanisms are in place and are utilized to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvements are delivered
Initiate formal project reviews to assess the project work carried out with quality
Provide expertise in project management methodology to team members by coaching junior project manager or staff on the job and transfer the knowledge and skills of project management methodology and practices.
Manage and motivate project members, conducting or contributing to agreed performance management processes, ensuring that staff are suitably equipped to meet both company targets and personal development needs


Key Performance Index:

Accountable of project delivery, and Project definitions, specifications and requirements are delivered within agreed timeframes and to quality standards to meet client expectations
Project(s) / Tasks are completed within Quality, Time and Cost targets
SIO methodology, tools, and techniques are applied in project deliverables
Complete project reporting on time
Project scope is agreed with business sponsor and is reviewed on a timely basis. Sponsor agreement is obtained if change is required and adjustments are made within agreed timeframes


Qualifications

Education
Bachelor degree or above, major in Business, Finance, etc., MBA is a plus
Holds professional PMP qualification and likely to be a Six Sigma Green Belt

Relevant Experience
At least 10 years of professional experience, at least 5 years in project management
Profound knowledge of life insurance industry with cross-disciplinary expertise among areas of finance, operations, etc
Previous professional consulting experience is a plus

Skills/Language
Fluent in oral and written in English and Chinese
Excellent collaboration and communicate skill with track record to convey important message, i.e., through PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent personal skill in a cross function and multi-stakeholder environment
Strong leadership spirits and management skill, and strive to make a impact to the organization
