Job title: Product Manager, Asia
Position Responsibilities
Asia wide responsibility
Prepare Pricing, act as Sales interface and support contract preparations
Provide strategic input (price/market strategies, share shift initiatives) on commercial side for BL leadership to enable business ramp up in Asia
In depth knowledge of Top 20 Customers (existing and potential)
Competitive monitoring and providing strategies to BL and Sales to maintain and extend market share
Research markets and identify market needs. Translate them into requirements that will foster new products or new features to existing products
Identify and analyze new business opportunities and optimize existing business. This includes the formulation of plans and actions to execute on those opportunities
Prepare product documentation incl. competitor's product knowledge
Manage the product portfolio
Support marketing communication group in the development of communication plans
Monthly report on strategic issues for the Business Line
Contribute and communicate transparently and regularly as an effective team member of the Global Business Line team. Regular global exchange with PM and Technical Marketing teams in EU and US, as well as attendance and contribution at all Business Line meetings, global and regional
With Regional Demand Planning, take responsibility for an accurate demand forecast
Work with Demand Planning and Supply Planning to ensure that inventory is available for both sampling purposes and ongoing critical business. Manage inventory to support company Working Capital targets
Support Asian Leadership team in the implementation of new systems and processes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
? Product Management and/or Product Marketing experience
? Technical background (engineering or chemistry) and plastic expertise
? Commercial knowledge and experience in the preparation of business plans
? Very good English language skills. Ability to communicate with global colleagues and customers
? Ability to operate in a global environment and culture with regards to business conduct and communication
? Excellent computer skills using standard MS Office software
? Familiarity with Six Sigma process and terminology
? Analytical thinking
? Ability to negotiate, lead and collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
? Proactive, high energy team player who can convert ideas into programs that drive growth and key business goals.
