Responsibilities
The Business Systems Manager is responsible to understand the business’ needs and identify how best to meet them from a business and functional requirements perspective. This includes working with the business and the technology areas to gather requirements for development and management. The role oversees the effort to analyze, validate and document the business and system requirements as well as to support the production environment.
? Acts as a bridge between the business and IT groups, and is accountable for a technology solution that supports the business request or opportunity and is based on the enterprise architecture
? Maintain and support production environment
? The role oversees the effort to ensure that the methodology and quality standards are being met for each party
? Management of team resources, which includes coaching, training & development and performance management
? Assists with the business to formulate, define and make decisions to transformation initiatives and is also responsible for helping to maintain the controls necessary for the enterprise applications.
? Assists with the design, modification and creation of business processes and/or technology enhancements used to implement the business/technology solutions. This is done through research and an understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and operations requirements.
? Serve as a subject matter expert on technical and operational platforms
Qualifications
? Minimum 5 years previous experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification and designed
? Minimum 3 years previous experience in managing projects
Education
? Bachelors Degree preferred with 5 + years of directly related experience.
? Relevant recognized formal qualification in Project Management, Business Analysis and/or Test Management is desirable
? Knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments
? Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions
? Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
