The Sales Application Engineer is responsible for supporting and developing our business by technically supporting the sales organization in projects, being responsible for the technical aspects of the sales cycle, working in close cooperation with the Regional Sales Managers (RSMs)
The sales application engineer is influencing decision makers both in the beginning of the sales cycle – in order to get our specified and increasing the chance of winning projects and throughout the sales cycle. Overall goal is to develop a relationship as trusted advisor.
The sales application engineer is also responsible for transferring competence, knowledge and expertise to our team and partners.
The Sales Application Engineer is responsible for researching, preparing & presenting technical product training, designed to provide the essential skills for our clients to successfully implement Our video surveillance products, which may include third party hardware and software solutions
Job Responsibilities:
* Support the sales organization to influence project with customer’s visits together with RSM (Regional Sales Manager) and product demonstrations and pilot installations.
* Provide internal and external assistance during the Sales Process to include delivering product demonstrations to customers.
* Work together with the integrator and/or software development partner during the project sales process, to include managing the RFP process
* Supporting sales organization in tender and RFP/RFQ process and answering project related questions from the RSM
* Helping the sales organization to qualify tenders in order to select projects which will give a return of investment in time and energy to close the deal.
* Extends network of consultants that specify our product in tenders and support them with information, updates and training so they are able to successfully specify projects.
* Continuously keep the technical knowledge up to date on the latest products and features in order to offer the best possible solution to the needs of the customers.
* Work with the central/global pre-sales organization and develop written pre-sales material of technical nature, both in the form of articles and PowerPoint presentations.
* Helping sales organization to increase knowledge on our portfolio and handle the Regional Sales Team as an “internal” customer.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in pre-sales within the IT channel preferred with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
* IT exposure in networking, IP-based technologies and applications with sound knowledge of network infrastructure (TCP/IP), VMS software and hardware technology an advantage
* Attained industrial certification from CISCO, Nortel Networks, and Microsoft with technical experience from CCTV business preferred
*Ability to provide effective presentations and demonstrations to all levels of people including our corporate management
* Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; and the ability to communicate fluently in English
* High level of self-initiative, self-motivation and sales oriented.
* Travelling is required within the region.
