职位描述
Designation: HEAD OF AIR FREIGHT
Position description: Serve as the Country Product Head for Airfreight and overall management of Airfreight Operations. Responsible for overall Airfreight Profit and Loss.
Responsibilities:
- Implements local airfreight strategy (products, preferred carriers, market penetration, targets etc.), including strong local carrier relationship management, and procurement for non-preferred carriers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all level of operations.
- Establishes operational framework based on global and regional
standardization of processes, benchmark and regulatory compliance.
- Develops and enhances air master data within the region as well as maintenance of such.
- Manages gateway, hub operations within that region.
- Manages regional oversight and engagement all air bids including
pricing strategy and related local procurement.
- Processes local market intelligence, KPIs and statistical data.
- Develops and implement productivity enhancements for Airfreight Operations.
- Actively engages in freight system digitalization initiatives throughout the network.
- Provides operational direction and support for the Air Solution at the local and regional level.
- Supports corporate initiative for the Air Solution.
- Selection of Carriers / Agents and negotiate rates & pricing.
- Promotes / sells the Air Solution against a target customer list and assist local sales effort through joint customers calls, bids and proposal preparation.
- Participates and take lead in project bids and execution.
- Monitors KPIs and provides feedback to Management on product status and needs.
- Contributes to the identification of specific business opportunities and participates in development of new modified service offering.
- Ensure company policies & procedures, confidentiality, legal and ethical guidelines, such as Delegation of Authority are clearly communicated and adhered to.
- Coaches and guides junior employees to ensure development and succession planning.
- Observes and abide by the TVS-QIMM-01.6 Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities outline in the QEHS Manual
Educational qualifications preferred
- Category: Degree
- Field specialization: Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
Required work experience
- Industry: Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Years of experience: 15 to 20
Required Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Pricing for Air Cargo Service & Operations. Good knowledge of International Trade Legislation Compliance.
- Working knowledge of Financial Reporting. Strong Customer Management. Good knowledge of Freight Management Systems including Cargowise, local customs & trade portals.
Required Knowledge:
Strong Leadership, Strong Change Management, Strong Strategic Planning & Execution.
Required Skills:
- Strong Teamwork, Strong Communication, Strong Decision Making
Required abilities
- Other: Good working relationships with customers, airlines & agents.
