The Role
Main Responsibilities:
Work with global ME/engineering team to transfer product, include review and update tooling drawings, technical specifications etc.
To monitor the production issue, analysis and make quickly trouble shooting about the process issues, especially for tooling issue.
To liaise with related teams to facilitate the smooth introduction of products and apply processes to the cell in order to meet quality, cycle time and cost targets.
Select and optimize cutting tools for CNC machines, especially for horizontal machining center, Mill turn and CNC cylindrical grinder. introduce of new tooling into production, ensuring reducing costs; lead times for tools, reducing cycle times and scrap levels.
Minimizing tool maintenance and breakdowns.
Design fixtures for parts machining. Carry out tooling/fixture design reviews.
Design process routing for new product and transferred products.
Optimize process to get safer process, higher productivity and lower cost.
Improve machining process through tooling/fixture optimization, digitalization, etc…
Communicate with person who is related in work to finish working task, include contact with foreign engineers via call and email, or work face to face in English.

What we expect of you?？
Education level:
Bachelor or above, major in mechanical and automation, electrical, electronic or related
Relevant previous experience:
5 years' experience of working within a manufacturing site as a tooling engineer, or machining engineer.
Knowledge of all ranges of cutting tools, methods and techniques used cutting cast iron.
Knowledge of CNC machining background, such as HMC, Lathe, Mill turn, grinder etc
Basic knowledge with CNC program and tool using in machine tool.
Knowledge of tool store and management.
Experience with the process of tooling procurement.
Experience with tooling efficiency improvement.
Experience with trouble shooting for tooling.
Experience with LEAN activities is preferred.
Experience with new tooling design and manufacturing is preferred.
Experience in quality related and other improvement projects through multi-department teams is preferred.
Language skills:
CET-4 is must. Be good at English, include read, written, listening and spoken. Good communication skills can communicate in both Chinese and English.
Other skills and knowledge:
Able to understand and interpret product drawings, structures, technology requirements in English, communicate these effectively across a broad range of people. Good at trouble shooting on production daily basis. Skill in Auto CAD, MS office.
