Overview:
As a leading RFID tag and label manufacturing factory in Qingdao, China, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Planner & Planning Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the release of customer jobs and manufacturing orders in the ERP system, capacity management, semi-product delivery arrangements, logistics material recycling, and lead time inquiries from sales. Additionally, this role involves aligning job list dates to manufacturing order dates, resetting job list change flags, running Material Requirements Planning (MRP), generating daily purchasing requirements, and providing monthly finished goods quantity for OIDC finance. The individual will also be responsible for checking GP setup of new parts/Bills of Materials (BoMs), analyzing accounting and financial data, managing Reorder Point (ROP), and reporting on-time delivery (OTD) performance. In addition to these core activities, the successful candidate will lead the development of theoretical models, simulations, and the implementation of smart manufacturing strategies to optimize our manufacturing processes.
Job Description:
The Planning Supervisor is responsible for providing lead times to Sales and customer services for new enquiries, and for the release and management of factory orders in line with customer requirements. Supervising and ensuring the execution of production plans. Minimizing downtime and changeover time by intelligent scheduling of production resources. Responsible for OTD reporting, data analysis and corrective action plans to improve OTD.
The Planning Supervisor is responsible for running MRP, and to action the resulting messages to trigger Manufacturing order release and provide daily requirements to the Purchasing team via the material shortage report. Working closely with Purchasing for timely PO release and subsequent expediting to ensure materials arrive in time to meet the production schedule.
The Planning Supervisor is responsible for managing capacity in the factory and for reporting times of under and over utilization such that appropriate mitigation can be taken in advance.

Qualifications: Batchelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations
Experience: MS Dynamics or Oracle preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Execution: Supervise and ensure the execution of production plans, minimizing downtime and changeover time by intelligently scheduling production resources.
On-Time Delivery (OTD) Reporting and Analysis: Responsible for OTD reporting, data analysis, and developing corrective action plans to improve OTD performance.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Drive MRP processes to generate daily purchasing requirements, raise production orders, and reset job list change flags as needed to support efficient production planning.
ERP Microsoft Greater Planes (GP) Setup and Master Planning: Check GP setup of new parts/BoMs, maintain master planning data in GP, and provide monthly finished goods quantity for OIDC finance. Oversee the raising of customer jobs and manufacturing orders in the ERP system, align job list dates to manufacturing order dates, and ensure accurate tracking and management of production orders.
Reorder Point (ROP) Management: Manage and optimize Reorder Point (ROP) to ensure efficient inventory management and material availability.
Logistics and Material Management: Coordinate semi-product delivery arrangements, manage the efficient recycling of logistics materials, and optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and enhance sustainability efforts.
Lead Time Management and Order Release: Provide lead times to Sales and customer services for new enquiries and manage the release and management of factory orders in line with customer requirements.
Capacity Management: Assess current manufacturing capacity, identify opportunities for expansion, and recommend new working shift models to maximize output and efficiency.
Financial Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze accounting and financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Theoretical Modeling and Simulation: Lead the development of theoretical models and simulations to analyze mixed production loading, identify bottlenecks, and optimize manufacturing processes. Smart Manufacturing and Process Optimization: Develop and implement smart manufacturing strategies, new concepts, and process optimization techniques to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Shop Floor Layout and Organization Changes: Lead initiatives to optimize shop floor layouts, recommend new working hours, and propose shift patterns to utilize existing hardware and space more effectively.
