Job Description: Product Mechanical Design Engineer

Skills/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience of 5 or more years in a manufacturing environment, Experience of 3 or more years’ experience in injection molding is preferred.
3. Fluent in Solid Works, CAD / 3D Models in SolidWorks.
4. Design experience in molding. Experience in jigs/fixtures’ designing, manufacturing and validation.
5. Tooling Fabrication (Injection, Stamping, Die casting).
6. Metal Fabrication, Stamping, Die casting.
7. Operate CNC, router.
8. RFQ of tooling, samples, equipment both on site and at subcontractor’s.
9. Fluent written and read in English required.
10. Ability to travel and short notice and work overtime

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for to work with APAC team for customized product design development as customer need.
2. D.F.M of all New product (Plastics) introduction
3. RFQ all Plastic tooling
4. Responsible for all Drawings from APAC / Customers and upload onto SharePoint.
5. Support SQE at supplier locations to solve process / production issues
6. Design packaging solutions
7. Validation and support audits of suppliers of Mechanical parts
8. Support the manufacturing of products and process for manufacturing engineering samples & validation of materials such as Plastic, Steel, Ceramic, FR4, and other materials.
9. communicating approval or necessary changes to make improvements, including design, Mechanical drawing and tooling, Jigs & Fixtures validation/modifications as necessary.

10. Designing, making or purchasing, and validating jigs/fixtures according to manufacturing requirement.

11. Provide engineering support to line leaders and operators at necessary time

12. Coordinate with other engineers to involve in project management

13. APAC’s project in-house CNC / 3D printing

14. Management of APAC’s project CNC / Jigs and production / Lab fixtures

15. Responsible for new product RF and product life validation in Lab as customer

need

16. Responsible for field product test both in factory and customer site

17. Responsible for to help product and equipment related training for both internal and external customers

18. Responsible for product and technology support on sales
