Job Description:  Senior Mechanical Engineer

Skills/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. =/>5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
3. =/> 5 years’ experience in injection molding
4. Fluent in Solid Works
5. Design experience in moulding
6. Vertical/Horizontal Injection m/c’s in a variety of resin materials ABS, PP, PC, TPE
7. Tooling Fabrication (Injection, Stamping, Die casting)
8. Metal Fabrication, Stamping, Die casting.
9. CAD / 3D Models in SolidWorks
10. Operate CNC, router, 3D Printer
11. RFQ of tooling, samples, equipment both on site and at sub contractor’s
12. Ability to travel and short notice and work overtime

Responsibilities

1. D.F.M of all New product (Plastics) introduction
2. RFQ all Plastic tooling
3. Approval of all Drawings from UK / Customers and upload onto Sharepoint
4. Support SQE at supplier locations to solve process / production issues
5. Design packaging solutions
6. All in-house CNC / 3D printing
7. Management of all CNC / Jigs and production / Lab fixtures
8. Validation and support audits of suppliers of Mechanical parts
9. Support the manufacturing of products and process for manufacturing engineering samples & validation of materials such as Plastic, Steel, Ceramic, FR4, and other materials.
10. communicating approval or necessary changes to make improvements, including design, Mechanical drawing and tooling, Jigs & Fixtures validation/modifications as necessary.
