Job Description: Project Engineer

We are looking for an accountable Project Engineer responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing project inspection criteria, coordinating the review of project designs and ensuring the proper implementation of project elements. If you are a detail-oriented professional with over 5 years’ experience in project management

Skills/Qualifications:

· Minimum Bachelor’s degree

· =/> 5 years’ experience in manufacturing (PCBA & Injection molding advantageous)

· =/>5 years managing multiple engineering projects

· =/>2 years or more Purchasing/ Logistics experience advantageous

· Excellent Microsoft office skills required

· Microsoft projects experience preferred

· Sharepoint document management and project system

· Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously

· Organizational Skills.

· Problem solving Abilities

· Keen Attention to Detail.

· Commercial Awareness.

· Communication Skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to work variable hours/evenings/ weekends & occasional travel required

· Fluent written & Oral Mandarin Chinese and English required

Responsibilities

1. rchasing

· Work with supply chain to ensure good decisions for the company and project process

· Address scheduling in-house or at subcontractor’s location

• Develop commercial pricing database/Good understanding of price construction/Industry standard, drive cost negotiation/supplier development together with supply chain manager.

Documentation

· Prepares project reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, recommending actions & minutes, issues, progress, delays and achievements.

· Develop/Maintain COG database & perform analysis as required

· Maintain project documentation within sharepoint

· Fully review drawings and specifications in preparation of the project

· Understand contract documents and identify gaps in the system

Subcontractor Management

· Maintain open communication with subcontractors

· Work with PMs to report project issues and delays timely with project notifications

Client relationships

· Proactively think about clients’ needs, Handling clients’ needs with a sense of urgency

· Handles misc. owners’ requests without objection

· Adapts to different client’s personalities, needs and wants to exceed the client’s expectation

Project Management

· Develops project objectives, reviewing project proposals/plans & conferring with management.

· Determines project responsibilities & assigning personnel to phases and elements;

· Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress against plan and provide early warning of problems and trends to Manager highlighting deviations from the baseline schedule

· Ability to recommend corrective action & recovery plan maintained within sharepoint.

· Liaise closely with project participants to ensure compatibility of schedules and verify that support is provided timely for delivery of drawings / documents, equipment and materials

· Makes closing out the Projects a priority & providing SG4 information

· Participates & interacts in project meetings

Teamwork

· Show respect for duties of other team members

· Support & interacts with project teams to perform as a cohesive team.

· Review new project with Mfg team, and plan manufacturing readiness

· Monitoring compliance & practices ensuring QA/QC policies standards and specifications

· Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
