Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the creation and maintenance of a diverse set of features and technologies that enable the creation of data-driven applications, services and solutions in the cloud.
• You will focus on designing and implementing scalable, distributed real-time and historical data & analytics. You will contribute to technology evaluations and the definition of best practices to enable the IoT Data Solutions team to build, debug, test, scale, release, manage and secure data applications, services & data pipelines.
• You will help build common frameworks and software libraries, in various programming languages, that support the creation of efficient, scalable and highly available data applications & services.
• You will support with the creation and maintenance of the running Data Solutions architecture. You will troubleshoot issues and identify areas for continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on quality, performance and security.
• You work closely with architects and technical product managers and other members of the team to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, implemented and tested software solutions.
• You will work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software in an incremental manner.
• You will help promote and adopt best-in-class software engineering practices, frameworks, and tools. You are will be collaborating with other software developers in order to get and provide feedback.
  

We are looking for

• B.S. in Computer Science or related Engineering is required, a Master’s degree is desirable
• Have knowledge on data & analytics, big data, real-time or batch-based processing, ETLs and machine learning/A.I.
• Experience of developing scalable data-based applications & services, including the application of modern machine learning and A.I. technologies.
• Proven track record leveraging cloud-based services (SaaS) and platforms (PaaS) for the creation of data-related applications & services
• Proven hands-on experience with Alibaba or Tencent Cloud Services
• Understanding of distributed data systems, designing for scalability, performance and availability
• Hands on experience with non-functional best-practices and deploying supporting technologies for improving platform security and reliabilit

• Knowledge of a variety of programming languages – at least Java and Python
• Experience with one or more scalable modern stream-based data processing & frameworks is preferred

• Practical experience with relational databases and no-SQL solutions is required (in addition, knowledge of time series data technologies is welcome)
• Excellent interpersonal and technical communication with peers, and non-peers alike, with a can-do attitude
• English language proficiency is a must
