Primary Functions (or Position Summary)   

- Set up the supplier chain and be responsible for material/components purchase.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Mainly Asian market sourcing, all activities will be made amongst this market.

1. Follow group sourcing strategy to realize the material and components localization 

2. Set up supply chain and optimize supplier base

3. Achieve company/group purchase KPI (cost, quality, service)

4. Responsible for supplier selection, analysis and evaluation

5. Responsible for both direct and indirect material sourcing.

6.Responsible for purchase of material/components. Ensure the quality of products and reduce the costs and lead time according to group requirement

7. Responsible for purchasing contract negotiation and price developing

8. Support management to manage local purchase staff.

9. Imported materials and components’ localization 

Normal Minimum Position Requirements

Education 

- University degree with mechanical, electronic, commercial or related major 

Experience

- Minimum of 5 years experience of purchasing mechanical or electronic products in Asian market

- Knowledge of castings and/or electronic market is a plus; (Printed Circuit Board, sensors, transformers, inductances…)

- Familiar with purchasing process and commercial regulation

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Good sense of cost analysis

- Experience in foreign companies is preferred

- Good in spoken and written English

- Good command of computer skills

- Team work and collaboration approach

- Honest, open-minded, flexible, fast learner
