I. Tasks / activities:

The job holder is employed as a Technical Service Engineer to support customers mainly in Qingdao.

The main tasks of the job holder are the following:

1. Technical customer support on the implementation of new Mankiewicz products

2. Presentation of product advantages to the customers

3. Instruction of customers' painters / application engineers; imparting of specific application-technological knowledge

4. Supporting customers with the conception of their application facilities

5. Gathering of information on, analysis of and dealing with application problems and customer complaints

6. Observation and reporting of competitors' activities

7. Documentation of all internal and external processes (ATA reports, sample orders, FMEA, etc.)

8. Processing of sample orders

9. Application parameter testing of new product developments and optimisation in cooperation with the laboratory

10. Maintaining contact with market-leading and innovative application facility manufacturers

11. Application technical support and information of external and internal customers regarding all systems available on the market

12. Development of application recommendations for customers (internal and external)

13. Imparting of knowledge on pre-treatment methods to customers (internal and external)

14. Development and definition of application windows

15. Preparation and follow-up of project-related customer visits

16. Participation at project meetings

17. Maintenance, servicing and operating of application technical systems (spray guns, pumps, circulation systems, 2K coating mixing and dispensing system etc.)

18. Preparation of operating instructions

19. Coloristic adjustments of products and adjustments in regards to customers' needs

II. Knowledge / skills required

1. Good technical knowledge

2. Good knowledge of application technical systems

3. Good knowledge of application techniques (spray guns,  piston pump, double diaphragm pump)

4. Good understanding on exterior line condition, bell application, programming and parameter adjustment, trouble shooting, color tinted based on 5 angle colorimeter.

5. 3-5 years technical service experience on exterior component painting line.

6. Basic commercial knowledge

7. Good command of English and another foreign language if required

8. Good command of all relevant business processes

9. Ability and willingness to keep own knowledge up to date

10. Good communicative skills and the ability to persuade (conciseness)

11. Good presentation skills

12. Good conflict management
