POSITION PROFILE
DESIGNATION: Conference Sales Manager (4 positions)
LOCATION: Shanghai, China
REPORT TO Branch General Manager/Business Unit Director/Group Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
Conference Sales Manager is responsible for seeking sponsorship while selling delegates of CDMC events, developing & managing a sales team of 5-6 people to accomplish each project revenue target, and maintaining good customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ü Manage the sales executives from lead generation, telesales to on-site delivery at the event
ü Liaise closely with staff across the conference production marketing, and operations teams
ü To sell sponsorship and exhibition packages ranging from US$ 5K-35K both by telephone
ü To identify prospective clients by monitoring internal and external publications, websites, competitive exhibitions and conferences
ü To manage the accounts of both new and existing clients across the world
ü To exceed agreed monthly revenue targets for each event
ü To attend various Conferences / Exhibitions both in China and overseas as necessary
ü To hold regular weekly meeting for the project sales team to review and set the target for the next week sales revenue
ü To guide and train sales executives to achieve the sales target
ü To negotiate and draw up the sponsor contracts for the sale within company guidelines Requirement
ü Assist in on-site conference operations when required
REQUIREMENTS
ü 2-3 years' sales experience selling to decision makers
ü 1 year team management experience
ü Excellent spoken and written English
ü Experience with consultative and telephone-based selling would be preferred
ü A superb communicator, confident on the telephone
ü Strong commercial knowledge and market consciousness
ü Ability of independently thinking and solving problem
ü Experience completing the sales cycle, including targeting new business opportunities, negotiating contracts and closing deals
