Position Responsibilities:

• Research,analyze and assess proposed regulations and standards among Asian area;
• Lobby according to STIHL interest towards new standard and regulation;
• Assist headquarters R&D with strategic product compliance and certification planning;
• Identify and maintain a list of applicable standards,regulations and laws;
• Identify key certification issues and offer solutions as the role of R&D compliance Asian hub;
• Assume a leadership role on specific issues as assigned and work with all departments as needed;
• Organize certification test procedures and maintain test schedules;
• Maintain certification test records, technical data and the archiving of sample machines;
• Develop certification test reports for government entities;
• Coordinate issues related to industry associations and authorities in Asian countries;
• Support headquarters R&D on Asian legislation compliance related activities;
• Maintain relationship with authorities and institutions related to standard and regulation;
• Assume additional related responsibilities assigned by superior

Requirements:

• Fluent English and standard Chinese (presentation and writing);
• Active in maintaining network relations;
• Structured thinker and accurate,logical problem solver;
• Pro-active,self-propelling attitude;
• Master degree or above in industrial and engineering area;
• Major in electric engineering or battery related engineering preferred;
• Japanese or other Asian languages preferred;
• Willing to travel domestic and overseas frequently
