In this role, you have the opportunity to
Philips challenges you to use your technical skills of information technology professional in designs application, hardware and network for IT software development systems. You typically need to have a wide range of technical knowledge and work with internal and external customers to develop systems to required business specifications. You will analyze, design, test, code, secure, debug, modify, deploy, integrate and maintain (system) software enhancements, test environment and/or new software. Uses state-of-the-art technologies and practices. Interacts with users / product owners to define / adjust requirements and/or necessary modifications. Keeps abreast of technical developments and practices in own field through literature, courses/trainings, technical contacts, and competitive environment. Applies agile software development methods as a member of agile teams.
You are responsible for
- Creates high quality working software
- Features driven development in an agile approach
- Actively participates in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement. Contributes to continuous improvement of the team, software and processes
- Designs, codes, documents, tests (automated), maintains and deploys software
- Supports DevOps in deploying software
- Sets, monitors and ensures to meet own performance metrics
- Defines, monitors and meets performance and quality metrics
- Provides technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users, high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, safety and security
? Keeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art programming techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
You are a part of
You will be part of Philips China Innovation Hub Engineering team and you will report to software development manager. Meanwhile, your peers look after areas such as product requirements, product development, verification & validations. You will also have close interaction with PMO office, solution team, presales team, and customer delivery Team.

We are looking for
- A recognized Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related majors;
- Solid foundation in software development fundamental: Data Structure, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented programming, Common algorithms etc.
- Solid JAVA programming knowledge.
- Strong hands-on software development experience on J2EE and Spring framework, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript programming.
- Familiar with database systems like MySQL, MongoDB or other popular DB systems.
- Good understanding and practice in software development process (Especially Agile/Scrum processes)
- Git/GitHub experience is a major plus
- TFS/JIRA/Confluence/Jenkins skills is preferred
- Experience with native/hybrid mobile application, or Wechat mini-app is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge in Smart Devices Application software development is a plus;
- Familiar with other popular development skills like Python, NodeJS is a plus.
- Familiar with cloud computing or big data is a plus.
- Shell scripting knowledge of Linux platforms is a plus.
- Highly self-motivated to work on new initiatives;
- Good communication and collaboration skills in both Mandarin and English.
- Curiosity for new technologies and internet technology trend.
