Your Impact

As an Accountant joining a newly acquired company you will play an integral role in ensuring that the financial records are maintained in accordance to local and US GAAP for Taiwan and HK Entity, daily overall finance work are maintained well for Taiwan and HK entity. This role will also assist to drive process improvement and internal control initiatives for Taiwan and HK entity.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies:

● Manager the overall financial month-end close for Taiwan and HK legal entities, ensuring that financial transactions are recorded in compliance with local and US GAAP

● In charge of AR aging, AR follow up, initiate AP and employee reimbursement’s payment list each pay cycle.

● Assist finance manager for all treasury issues for Taiwan and HK entity’s, such as prepare monthly cash flow forecast and manager cross-border intercompany settlement.

● Liaise with local tax agent for all local tax filing, statutory reporting and local fapiao issuing.

● Coordinate with external custom declaration agent and internal trade compliance officer for custom tax payment and follow up

● Liaise closely with auditors to ensure accurate and timely filing of annual statutory financial accounts.

● In charge of all treasury issue of Taiwan and HK entity, coordinate for AR aging, AR follow up, initiate AP and employee reimbursement payment list each pay cycle.

● Assist Finance Manager in implementing internal controls and process improvements

● Actively participate in systems implementation – Billing system, SAP submodule etc.

● Support finance manager on ad hoc projects – merger and acquisition, new branch setup, etc.

Our Needs

Here’s what we’ll need from you:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5-8 years finance working experience and at least 3 years GL role for Taiwan and HK entity

• Strong written and verbal communication skills by English.
• ERP experience (SAP experience is preferred).
• Familiar with HK GAAP and Taiwan GAAP
• Familiar with HK and Taiwan tax regulations

Preferred Skills:

• Medical/Life Sciences work experience
• SAP and Excel
