Role Purpose:

Project Manager who is a driven individual and will be able to successfully implement, manage and coordinate a portfolio of assigned projects including scheduling visits to meet the demands of project timelines and ensuring that project momentum and deadlines achieved.

Role Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

• Learning the FastReact software configuration to fully understand the practical use of the solution, enabling you to consult with clients on best practice within their business.

• Business process analysis of clients planning and control process, identification of what could be changed to deliver a better process and results with the help of FR

• Sufficiently ‘hands on’ to learn to configure the FR system in detail, to meet the client’s business needs and to provide training, where necessary.

• Total ownership of all project management aspects of our client projects, including scheduling of visits to meet the demands of the project timeline and ensuring that project momentum is maintained and deadlines achieved.  This includes management of client expectations, communication with the internal client project team, arranging steering group meetings, ensuring concerns are addressed etc.

• Assisting the client with Change Management i.e. helping them make the change to a better process and full FR system use

• Installation of FastReact products at client facilities to the agreed specification and within the agreed timeframe, interpreting user needs and providing workable solutions to problems as appropriate

• Manage the implementation team on each project to ensure that standard is maintained and commitments delivered.  Ensure that program modifications and bugs reported by customers or discovered during implementation are logged onto the appropriate systems and resolved in a timely manner to ensure on time project delivery.  Ensures that ‘issues logs’ are maintained for all projects and actively managed.

• Taking ownership, ensure that all project management systems kept up to date.

• Assist the Design and Development team by testing program modifications and bug fixes, as well as ensuring that your personal knowledge of Fast React products are in line with current releases.

• Preparing visit reports summarizing activities, conclusions and next steps, also assisting in the mentoring the personal development of the FR Asia implementation team, reviewing and improving e.g. report writing skills among the team (including potential line management activities).

• Account Management of existing clients (review and continuous improvement visits) to ensure full satisfaction plus identifying realistic opportunities for additional sales)

• As you become more established in the role, we would expect that you would also train and manage a team of implementation / support staff to support your efforts in the above process. Ensure that personal knowledge of FastReact products keeps pace with development and conducts internal training sessions with the Implementation team.

• Train end-users on the software, ensuring that program modifications logged and resolved appropriately to meet project delivery.

• Conduct occasional training sessions with the Professional Services team.

• Other duties or special projects as reasonably requested by Fast React.

Requirement:

• Must be eligible to work in China without requiring a work permit.

• Ability to speak English and Mandarin.

• At least 5 years' experience in the garment/footwear/textile industry as a manager of PPC/Merchandising, Production or IE.

• A strong analytical approach to problem solving.

• Technically adept and capable of learning new software and industries through project exposure and shadowing of experienced consultants.

• A good self-learner, ability to listen and interpret user needs (apart from user wants) and provide workable solutions to problems.

• Good communicator with personnel at all levels.

• Self-motivated and capable of working alone, or as part of a small team.

•  A willingness to travel throughout China, Thailand and the rest of the world.

• Experience of MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.
