Your Team:

The Product Development Group in Burlington and Shenzhen, conceives, designs, and builds Solid State Lighting Luminaires and technology for a global market. Our award-winning LED lighting systems, lighting controllers, and custom lighting solutions reinvent light as a highly efficient, long lasting, environmentally friendly, and inherently digital source of illumination. Our customers include lighting designers worldwide who specify our fixtures in a wide variety of applications from high-end architectural landmarks (The London Eye, CN Tower, San Francisco Bay Bridge) to entertainment venues (Super Bowl halftime show, Red Hot Chili Peppers tour) to local restaurants (Grill 23 in Boston).This job is to support the manufacturing system development and industrialization of novel designs globally, as part of the Connected Lighting solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

·         Local Engineering Team Leader (Lead: 4~5 members)

1.     Manage a team with manufacturing development, process and quality engineers.

2.     Act as a local project leader for manufacturing test; preparation, creation & management of 3rd party development as well as implementation of test equipment and process, according to project schedule requirements.

3.     Manage the local budgeting, implementation, release and support of the test development within NPI projects to ensure optimal test-coverage, programmability and adjustability by working closely with a cross functional R&D team and global manufacturers.

4.     Assign resources to support Global R&D projects.

5.     Day to day production problem resolving.

 

·         Development of the Manufacturing Test system for global manufacturing.

6.     Work with U.S (Massachusetts) engineering to optimize the test requirements for a new and unique product to achieve the lowest possible “defect escape rate” for the lowest integral test costs.

7.     Establish validation plans, manage the execution and create the compliant validation records for test designs and test deployments.

8.     Support product and process implementation/changes between global manufacturers, 3rd party Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and multiple R&D teams.

9.     Create test/programming equipment planning (of events / activities) and maintain test system documentations, maintaining associated regulation compliance and controls.

10.  Research, evaluate, benchmark, and recommend new technologies related to testing.

11.  Utilize Signify information management systems to control bill of materials, manage engineering change orders, and interface to our supply chain process.

12.  Capture and analyze product/process data; driving new feature implementation and continuous improvement in design, manufacturing process and test.

 

Qualifications:

1.       A Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering

2.       Education and/or experience with design for manufacturing test.

3.       3+ years of experience with programming, debugging and testing in LabVIEW, TestStand, (PythonC or Visual Basic—experience preferred)

4.       3+ years of experience with DMMs, DAQ, oscilloscopes, power sources, power meters, relays.

5.       3+ years of experience with communication protocols like Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, RS232, RS485.

6.       5+ years of experience with engineering team management.

7.       Knowledge of lighting technologies and protocols like KiNET, DMX, & RDM preferred.

8.       Able to translate development needs into hardware and software system requirements

9.       Experience in extracting and manipulating data from databases.

10.   Experienced with digital electronic designs with hardware and software functions.

11.   Previous experience conducting and participating in code and schematic reviews.

12.   Comfortable setting up and using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

13.   Highly organized with strong interpersonal, project management and communication skills.

14.   Capable of working independently and cooperatively with internal departments, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers to develop and deliver solutions

15.   Energized and passionate problem solver who can set goals and priorities with personal commitment to deliver quality results.

16.   Willing to travel (around 30%).
