Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·         1-5 years of  experience in the coke and coking industry

·         Holder of a Chinese passport, must be native Chinese speaker.

·         Intelligent, outgoing,  and self-driven 

·         Willing to work hard to learn quickly and adapt to a fast moving trading environment

·         Comprehensive knowledge of production (supply channels), logistics and distribution channels, port procedures, and market/port regulations.

·         Ability to develop and build relationships along the supply chain route (suppliers/port staff/logistics/shipping) ·         Potential to become domestic marketer

·         Whilst not a prerequisite, the following will be viewed favourably:

   -     Know-how of domestic trading activities/channel 

   -     Knowledge of supply channels

   -   Knowledge of coke/coking coal qualities (for China and ex China)

 

Key Responsibilities

   ·         Conduct port and mine site visits, and witness loading for all vessels.

   ·         Produce meeting summaries and field trip reports from site visits.

   ·         Inspection of coke/coal quality on site and on board the vessel

   ·         Liaise with customers on loading activity, arrange logistics for cargoes, collaborate with other departments under the supply chain on trade execution.

  ·         Liaise consistently with various counter parties (Master, Shipper, Surveyor, LP Agents) to ensure smooth loading on all vessels.

   ·         Produce daily physical market and scheduling report.

   ·         Assist Traders to pursue market opportunities to expand the business in China

  ·         Assisting Traders to maintain close relationship with the various stakeholders in the supply chain.

   ·         Coordinate with operations, shipping, and logistics departments (in-house and external).
