Scope of Role:

·To support the CRO in strategic analysis, business planning and management processes review.

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:

·To work in close partnership with the Chief Risk Officer and China Risk Management Committee on providing thought leadership and support towards the achievement of the strategic Risk agenda.

·To lead and execute strategic planning and initiatives for the function and coordinate the delivery of business priorities. Strategic planning including but not limited to management structure, geographical expansion, infrastructure capacity/capability and risk management, etc.

·Primary contact and coordinator for critical Management Committee initiatives and projects.

·To produce timely management reporting and essential business performance statistics to facilitate business and operations monitoring, review and planning. Help to drive and track major projects and business initiatives.

·To provide support in research and analysis of market conditions, competitor dynamics and best practices

·Ensure the efficacy of the CRO Office including the management BAU and special projects and assist Risk MANCO where appropriate to ensure on track progress and delivery of the Collective Risk Agenda.

·Prepare presentations and reports for the Executive Committee, Board and various management forums. Organize key business meetings and conferences and responsible for establishing milestones and monitoring progress.

·Draft correspondence and reports addressing to internal and external stakeholders, in particular government and regulating authorities

·Act as Secretary for regular risk management

·Other administrative and management responsibilities as required and assigned by the CRO from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills

·University degree holder with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience, preferably within the banking industry

·Excellent interpersonal skills in networking and influencing

·Strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve

·Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation

·Strong conceptual skills

·Strong organizational and administrative skills

·Experience in managing multiple projects

·Relevant experience in operations and administration of a branch organization is a plus

·Strategic thinker with commercial acumen

·Ability to be creative and think out of the box

·Good understanding of banking industry and organization structure, including issues policies, control and compliance

·Flexible and responsive in order to handle changing priorities

·A self-starter with an innate ability to influence, challenge and advise senior executives

·A team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

·Able to work independently

·A strong will to pursue personal and professional growth in the role

·Fluent English and Mandarin speaker

·Excellent English writing skills

·Professional writing skills in Chinese

·Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels

·Good analytical and numerical skills as well as proficiency in PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and especially PowerPoint
