Souring Agent and Quality Control Inspector- China
Job Profile and Description
Sourcing as directed by the Director of Purchasing conducts overseas sourcing in conjunction with the current purchasing plan.
Inspector as directed by the China QA manager-China is responsible for the inspection of part numbers produced at factories located in China
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain relationships with existing vendors
Identify current vendors supply sources
Attended international trade shows
Assist with corrective actions and ISO/TS improvements
Maintain digital sourcing folder including "Quote library" and "Vendor by category"
Maintain commodity cost calendar
Maintain Regional wage and VAT records
Coordinate with NPD on new products
Ship samples
Perform inspection / tests and document results before shipment is made and ownership transferred to AMI from factories.
Experience and proficiency with technical drawings, specifications and "tools of the trade."
Performing / reviewing data from periodic product quality audits to finished goods.
Audit "On-line" production testing and evaluations.
Contribute to the Q.A. compliance to I.S.O. and TS requirements
Maintain Q.A. files as required
Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
Skills and Specifications
Fluent in English both oral and written
Able to work with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge and ability to communicate in various accepted international methods.
Experience and proficiency with technical drawings, specifications and "tools of the trade."
Understanding of Quality Assurance processes as they relate to the production of high quality goods.
Ability to effectively use Microsoft office software.
Must have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects under pressure while meeting competing deadlines.
Possesses a thorough understanding of ISO, T.S. Certification, CE and RoHS requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Extensive travel required
Ability to perform audits and inspections in various factory environments
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Education and Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or Manufacturing (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years practical experience in a quality/manufacturing environment.
Must be wiling to travel 4-5 days per week.
Preferred experience working in the automotive industry or with automotive industry customers.

Other: the work/residence location is at Guangzhou or Shenzhen.
