WATER QUALITY SUMMARY:
Danaher's Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible to support WQ Asia GC for a wide variety of legal and regulatory matters across Danaher’s Water Quality Platform, China and SEA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial transactions and other legal arrangements to support the implementation of our go-to-market strategies, including review contracts of direct sales, distributor, other third party channel sales, as well as procurement contracts.
? Review of EM/DM, advertisement, marketing and promotional materials in compliance with PRC competition and advertisement regulations to support the WQ China E-commerce business.
? Legal support to WQ SEA entities, in particular to the Thailand commercial team and Asia Distribution Center, including contract management, legal and compliance training, governance / regulatory / registration matters in cooperation with local team.
? Conducting research and providing legal & compliance training and regular communication of issues and opportunities associated with local legislations and legal enforcement updates.
? Advisory relating to employment, IP, product and performance liability, competition and business model to different functions at different levels.
? Managing WQ China IP registration and enforcement actions under supervision of the global WQ Chief IP Counsel.
? Assist with mergers & acquisitions, consistent with relevant experience – from due diligence to integration.
? Supporting other projects as assigned by the WQ Asia GC.

REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POSITION:

Work experience
? 4-5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney in recognized law firm, or equivalent in-house experience, or a combination of the both.
? Has personally handled a broad range of legal issues: drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts including government tenders, experience in labor law, IP protection and acquisition due diligence and integration.
? Some experience handling or supervising legal matters under the laws of countries other than PRC (including, e.g., Thailand, India, Korea) is a plus.

Qualification
? Minimum of bachelor law degree from reputable Chinese law school and qualified to practice PRC laws;
? Fluency in Mandarin and English in writing and speaking;
? Integrity—adheres to the highest values in decisions, conduct, and work with others;
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
? Skill of using Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
