Commodity Buyer_ Plastic

JOB PURPOSE

To manage a defined Purchasing portfolio with the objective to insure the supply of material according to company relevant specifications on time and within budget. Identify and realize purchasing opportunities in China.
Maintain Supplier relationships focusing on competitive pricing, superior quality and timely delivery by supply base. Manage multiple projects.
Responsible for supplier sourcing on critical goods and items. Negotiates contract, documents conditions, creates scheduling agreements/ purchase orders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Responsible for the procurement of components for the local production including selection, development and maintenance of a capable and reliable supplier base
-Ensure a continuous flow of the required parts at a competitive price in the appropriate quality, the proper quantity at the right time to the designated location (purchase orders to local suppliers, conduct cost analysis and price negotiations);
-Responsible for the procurement of complex modules: project management of the whole supply chain;
-Manage supply base internally and intra companywide through commodity team participation
-Investigate and select sources in a timely manner through effective use of policies, procedures, and planning tools
-Ensure that Scheduling Agreements, Purchase Orders, and other pricing policies are maintained and up to date.
-Explore methods/materials for total cost management, quality system conformance, and on-time delivery performance.
-Work in cross-functional teams operating in a fast-paced environment.
Timely maintenance and updating of tracking tools.
-Leading and supporting other employees in informal teams to achieve the objectives.
-Perform Market researches/benchmarking
-Risk Management (e.g. adjust commodity strategy based on results/analysis)
-Establish commodity strategy based on company/division target and requirements.
-Identify potential costs savings and perform cost reduction actions (cost down projects, etc.)
-Ability for travel-both domestic and international
-Knowledge of assigned commodities (Aluminum, Stainless Steel), materials, processes (machining, turning, die-casting, bending, extrusion).
-Working knowledge in blueprint reading, statistics, PPAP documentation, product costing, and specifications.

QUALITY
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or above; majoring in Mechanical engineering is a plus
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 years in professional field, can read technical drawings
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Very Good English communication skills
COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in SAP(plus) or other ERP-system and MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Project) 举报 分享
