Main Purpose
The incumbent will be amongst the top leaders in TGS responsible and accountable for operations that are delivered from this captive. In doing so, the role will include understanding different business processes existing in various entities of Trafigura Group and thereby establishing/refining a robust and sustainable operations framework at TGS.

The individual will work in a matrix environment. S/he will be responsible for working on strategic initiatives, measuring and managing performance, building strong relationship with onshore teams, driving costs, driving employee satisfaction and championing transformation/improvement projects. A seasoned operations executive, the person should have demonstrated capability to provide strategic and tactical direction to a variety of operational support units, both domestically and internationally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
? Outstanding business acumen and the ability to link people, processes and technology to winning business outcomes.
? Ability to operate at both conceptual and working levels “zoom in/zoom out”; s/he should have an eye for detail and an extremely hands on working style
? Continuous improvement mindset and possesses excellent analytical skills to identify issues and suggest solutions
? Outstanding people leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with and manage a diverse workforce; track record in on-going management of operations and ability to lead teams to meet strict operating deadlines and challenging productivity targets
? Ethical standards; “what you see is what you get”
? Understands and possesses ability to manage upward/downward effectively
? Proven verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills
? Demonstrated work experience in a leading multinational with the complexity of managing a multi process operation. This could be captive or non-captive.

? Lead transformative thinking in innovating solutions and delivery that truly enhance business outcomes as against SLA management
? Ensure that the capabilities of the delivery organization are aligned with business/IT strategy
? Refine vision for operations and industrialising Service Delivery
? Enhance opportunities across business lines through relationships, new delivery lines and enhanced scope
? Ability to analyse complex information, situations and issues, deploy highly developed problem solving skills and make high impact decisions.

2. World Class Delivery and Operations Management
? Constantly drive improvements and productivity – make Ops Excellence a way of life
? Delivery at highest standards ensuring all objectives are met, thereby establishing confidence on shore
? Constant focus on timeliness and quality of delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, hiring and staff turnover
? Embed tight process controls and governance structure
? Optimization of cost

3. People Leadership
? Sustain Trafigura’s culture whilst adopting industry practices within the shared services centre space
? Interact regularly with executive team and individual department heads to ensure that company’s operational priorities are aligned with company mission, vision, values and direction
? Lead by example, an operational workforce who constantly set higher benchmarks and don’t see headcount increase as a denominator of growth but see value addition as true growth
? Driving change and be persistent in the face of adversity or pushbacks due to different priorities

Background/Education
? 15+ progressive years of which at least 7-8 years in operations leadership roles
? Prior experience running a Global Shared Services Centre in a matrix structure/environment with global interactions
? Experience in incorporating & integrating new businesses into operations
? Strong experience in operational planning, delivery, reengineering and transformation, supply chain management with a strong penchant for IT
? Strong leader who is resilient, robust and is committed to the highest professional standards.

? Locally, with leadership and direct reports in TGS
? Globally, with various process owners in donor entities of Trafigura
? Outstanding influencing skills, across a variety of diverse business groups and stakeholders, particularly in motivating, negotiating and persuading others.
? Success in developing highly effective working relationships, locally and globally, to deliver collaboration, partnerships and services.
