Title: Junior Cashier
Department: Cashiering
Summary of Responsibilities:Collect payment from and issue receipts to patients
Supervision Received:Reports to the Cashier Supervisor
Qualifications:
?Vocational School education preferred
?Associate college degree preferred
?Working experience in cashiering/finance/customer service preferred
Skills:
?Language skills in Chinese and English, verbal and non-verbal
?Professional manner and etiquette
?Communicating skill in interacting with patients
?Coordinating skill in dealing with problems
?Management skill in time and workload
Knowledge:
?Excellent oral and written English
?Basic knowledge of cashiering
?Basic knowledge of Microsoft and Excel
?Basic understanding of customer service
?Basic understanding of healthcare industry
Responsibilities: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
?Calculate medical expenses for patients according to pricing standard
?Collect payment from patients
?Issue receipts to patients
?Help patients fill in claim forms
?Follow up with incomplete claim forms
?Give correct copies of bills to patients
?Keep correct copies of bills for filing
?Submit daily accounts in PIMS
?Take care of assigned petty cash
?Take care of assigned receipts
?Update patients' information
?Execute super-bill reconciliation process
?Help collect outstanding balance
?Help third party payers check related medical expenses
?Help patients to right person for non-cashiering related inquiries
?Other assignments by supervisor/manager
