Responsibilities:
Distribution Management (DM) is part of the worldwide operating logistics organization. It acts as an interface between the country-specific Marketing/Sales organization (Brand-, Country-, Product-Manager) and the Logistics department (inventory planning, material replenishment etc). Planning-relevant information from the countries (Marketing-Events, XXL orders etc) has to be collected and evaluated, as well as forwarded to the responsible material planer.
? Ensure high service level/availability of goods at optimal inventory levels. This includes planning responsibility with SAP and add*ONE (incl invoicing of direct-shipments).
? Planning of Product launches, discontinued products and current promotions, in regular meetings/telecons (1-2/mth) with Brand-+Country-Management for assigned countries.
? Demand planning: Communicate on daily basis with country marketing and sales people about sales demand; coordinate the sales forecast in monthly meeting
? OTD: communicate with the plants in different countries to ensure delivery and monitor or push them in case of a bottle neck.
? Inventory controlling: Be responsible to keep the inventory under control, and this includes the knowledge of the inventory structure as well as the overstock elimination
? SL1 improvement: improve the Service Level 1 continuously. This includes an accurate planning to prevent SL1 issues and effective actions to solve existing SL1 failures.
? Supply chain cost control
Requirements:
? Bachelor degree in economics or industrial engineering with emphasis on logistics and/or relevant internships
? Alternatively professional training in economics combined with at least 5 years experience in different logistical areas
? Fluent English language skills
? Enjoys working with IT tools, mainly MS Office software (Excel, Access),SAP-user experience is of benefit
? Demand-/Inventory-Planning or plant logistics experience is of benefit
? First Marketing/Sales experience is of benefit
? Strong Customer orientation, process and result orientation
? Demonstrates initiative, able to work independently
