职位描述：
Basic responsibility
? The role will be responsible for specifying, designing, building and testing electronic controllers for motors and other projects as required
? This role will execute the business’ controls strategy and ensure we best leverage resources to deliver innovative and cost effective control solutions.
? Will work on core research and development projects as directed from time to time.

Strategy Development and Execution
? Contributes to the definition of and executes the plan for controls for the C&T business unit, creating and maintaining product and technology roadmaps for the controls.
? Reviews competitors’ controls offerings and develops a deep understanding of current and future requirements for controls (functionality, packaging, manufacturing technology and cost).
? Ensures designs and solutions are compliant across all markets, products applications and customers.
? Identifies development partners and builds and maintains key relationships.
? Identifies and ensures appropriate protection of any intellectual property, knowledge, techniques etc. for electronics.
Deliver to project and business goals
? Delivers hardware design projects to required timescales and cost targets
? Effectively works with software resources to determine trade-offs and deliver an optimal solution
? Contributes to initiatives for process improvement.
Customer interface
? Technical interface with customer’s design teams.
? Reviews customer requirements and trade-offs to deliver quality on-time decisions and design solutions.
? Contributes to progress reviews and updates with F&P and customer design teams for the project.
Research & Development
? Provides inputs to the business R&D strategy
? Carries out the necessary work to bring R&D projects to the maturity level required for implementation into products
Electronic components suppliers
? Liaises with suppliers and procurement to leverage their inputs and optimise design outcomes
General
? Follows robust product management systems, processes and relationships to deliver efficient and effective product development outcomes. This includes ensuring design solutions and meet regulatory standards in relevant markets.
? Defines and follows project plans including key milestones, ensuring available resource is integrated into motors project plans.

? Take all practicable steps to ensure their own safety at work
? Ensure that their actions or inactions don’t cause harm to any other person
? Follow all safety instructions and report all hazards and incidents in the workplace

Experience Need:
Incumbents must have significant electronics hardware product development experience in a cost sensitive environment
Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing power electronics based products, with well-developed project management and customer relationship skills.
