Job Purpose:
As a Quality Engineer, you will response to daily quality issues arising in the manufacturing facility. You will work using quality processes, plans and tools that are part of Caterpillar’s Quality Management System and the Caterpillar Production System.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure compliance to CQMS and CAV-C principles.
Create and maintain audit plans, checklists and SWES for IQA, IPV&QG, PDI and PDA.
According to internal & field quality issues to dynamically update checklists and audit plan.
According to the checklists & audit plan, periodically review actual implementation.
Maintain and publish defect reports that are recorded and reported at all levels from incoming to PDA
Monitor all level defects entering from IQA, IPV&QG, PDI, PDA and MRC.
Manage cost of quality.
Sorting defects to offenders and monitoring defects resolutions.
Develop and manage quality projects reporting framework..
Work with product development, Operations, Purchasing and other functional areas to insure customers are receiving a quality satisfied product.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree.
Minimum of 3 years of quality, purchasing and manufacturing experience for earthmoving machines
Good interpersonal skills are essential to develop a cooperative working relationship with others, both inside and outside the organization
Intermediate English listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, CET-4 or above.
Good analysis, diagnostic and judgment skills and good computer skills, Excel and PowerPoints
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Advanced English listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, CET-6 or above.
A broad knowledge of product development, product support, purchasing, Operations manufacturing and assembly procedures (machining, heat treat, assembly and inspection)，planning processes, work standards relative to manufacturing and inspection and a thorough background in statistical quality control data and gaging specifications
