The Scientist Technologist will be the go to person for all CCL-PCB laminating issues. The incumbent will ensure that all activities are performed in line with the company EHS and corporate compliance standards, provincial and nationwide regulations and laws. The incumbent will foster and monitor collaboration with cross-functional teams, drive testing and support processes, make suggestions for improvements or new developments/applications. The incumbent will be in charge of achieving New Product Sales budget as well as coordinate project work, set schedules and priorities. Incumbent will also organize studies in internal department for specific experiments to address project vision and objectives The incumbent will be cross-functional to influence and impact business results, making significant contributions in the development of knowledge or new concepts in CCL/Electro-Laminating technology and providing innovations to products and processes, which are recognized as giving.
The successful applicant has a degree in the relevant field with a qualified tertiary institute. At least 10+ years of experience in a technical laboratory/research and/or product development environment in CCL/Electro-Laminating/PCB industry. Track record in formulation technology for achieving specific product functionality in thermoset based laminating systems. Solid competency in the science and the performance properties derived from the handling of this interface, as well as the engineering of the fibre-matrix interface.
