POSITION Junior Trader – Coffee
LOCATION Shanghai
The person would support the existing team in maintaining contact with current buyers/sellers and also assist in reaching out to the new buyers/ sellers.
Should be able to gain industry insights, build customer relationships & support operational excellence.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Broad responsibilities are enumerated below -
Sales & business development:
? Assisting current team leader in achieving annual sales/purchasing targets by regular interaction with existing
customers/suppliers.
? Identifying business opportunities and increase the customer/supplier base across Great China
? Manage customer interactions in a professional manner and ensure strong customer relationships
? Provide market views and reports on a regular basis.
? Monitor competitive activity in the market and update the company on competitors’ information
? Assisting in handling of coffee lab and holding of cupping sessions
? Translation & interpretation
Process & system orientation
? Handle shipment documentation communication between buyers and Head office
? Adherence to systems for operational reliability.
? Regular review & reporting (within China & overseas)
MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES
? Effective communication skills (Bilingual- Mandarin & English)
? Good trading acumen and relationship management skills
? Strong administrative ability
? Problem solving
QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE /EXPERIENCE
? 1-3 years food ingredients trading experience.
? Familiar with import process and documentation and have capability to build up business in China
? Understanding of Coffee is preferred.
? Good team player
