Duties and Responsibilities
1. Install, configure, and validate the software packages supported by HISS to meet the approved requirements and scope documentation and according to the level of quality defined by the Project Manager.
2. Conduct customer training sessions for software packages supported by HISS.
3. Assist in the compilation and final review of requirements.
4. Create appropriate documentation for all work performed.
5. Independently troubleshoot, resolve, and test technical issues.
6. Assist in the support of existing customers by providing resolutions when requested by the Project Manager or Senior Software Integration Engineer and by transitioning knowledge to other team members through documentation and communication.
7. Assist in the creation of deployment standards and improvements that increase efficiency and improve both deployment times and the overall product.
8. Proactively communicate project status of assigned issues to the Project Manager.
9. Have an intimate knowledge of all on-going projects via communication with other team members.
10. Ensure the complete satisfaction of the customers.
Working Conditions
1. The position requires willingness to travel frequently - 50% travel domestic and international.
2. General office atmosphere and laboratory environment workspace. Customer laboratories will include biological sample material.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors/Masters degree or commensurate experience
2. One plus years of configuring software
3. Experience with one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Crystal Reports, or an Object-Oriented programming language
4. Experience delivering what's promised on time, proactively provide status reports, and have the up-side to independently manage tasks and projects from inception through completion with minimal supervisory guidance.
5. Ability to work in a team environment.
