Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

* Design responsibility for assigned gas turbine accessory systems – air inlet & exhaust, enclosures & ventilation, lube & hydraulic oil systems, gas & liquid fuel systems, and piping. * Experience on Ansys, Staad for strength analysis or CFD analysis. * Evaluate and develop supplier design & project execution capabilities, review and approve supplier’s design and analyses, execute equipment qualifications as part of a global GE team. * Effectively interact with customers, architect engineers, suppliers and with GE internal functions quality, sourcing, project management. * Identify required supplier shop and customer job site equipment inspections to resolve technical and manufacturing issues and to enhance designs. * Provide on site installation and startup support for Asian customers. Troubleshoot and resolve root cause and corrective action for field hardware issues. * Mentor less experienced team members. * Actively participate in cost reduction and quality initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

* BS degree in Engineering.* Minimum 7 years design experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, marine diesel or petrochemical industry.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.* Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous projects with minimal direction. * Well-established computer, communication and organizational skills.* Ability to build relationships and integrate within a diverse, high-energy global technology team.* Willingness to travel monthly.

Desired Characteristics

* Significant project engineering management experience.* Experience manufacturing engineering or product quality.* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified – GE candidates only.
