Job Focus
The Medical Information function works to drive optimal use of Pfizer Medicine. We do this partnering with internal and external customers in providing high quality information solutions and insights to aid decision making in the care of patients.
The Medical Information Associate role works in researching, creating and delivering balanced responses to medical queries across the Pfizer portfolio from doctors/pharmacists through our sales force and direct from consumers. In addition the MIA is responsible for creating Local Standard Response Documents based on actual and anticipated customer demand for aligned products. Internally, the MIA works closely with Product Teams in sharing Customer Insights from our customer interaction and supporting Product Team initiatives requiring medical information input.

Responsibilities
1. Customer Medical Solutions Direct and indirect Customer Support (via Pfizer Sales team)
-Researching Medical Solutions to external customer queries (doctors, pharmacists, patients) across the Pfizer portfolio and therapy areas
-Creating (local standard response documents and customized) medical responses to customers
-Delivering medical solutions verbally, in writing or through presentations. Also involved in other channels of communicating with customers such as internet, conferences where appropriate.
2. Internal support to Pfizer colleagues on information needs to achieve business goals
-Work with internal aligned Product teams on Medical Information needs - including proactively in identifying emerging medical/scientific data that could be of importance to product strategy
-Execute independently on expert searches to input to product team activities
-Input to development or updating of customer friendly Package Inserts for aligned products
3. Customer Insights
-Provide business with insights/business leads from daily interaction with customers on a regular basis
-Input to team portfolio reports and ad hoc market research reports
4. Maintenance, Improvement and Promotion of the Service
-Assist in maintaining, improving and promoting the Medical Information service through proactive recommendations for process improvements and leading of select projects where competency shown

Qualifications
1. Educational /Training
-Minimum of University Degree and Professional Medical/Pharmacy/ Medical Information Qualification
2. Working Experiences
- 1 year related working experience, relevant working experience in pharmaceutical industry or clinical practice preferred.
3. Functional Ability
-Strong customer focus sense
-Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
-Excellent Teamwork/collaboration
-Excellent ability to research information and provide oral, written & presentation solutions
-Excellent planning and organization
-Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
-Excellent people and problem solving skills
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
-Excellent English skill in speaking, reading and writing
