Job Description:
1) building TOMS awareness with regional campuses, corporates, NGOs
2) creating community-based retail experiences in stores
3) scaling the One for One impact across all existing and new eCommerce and social media channels.
Job Responsibilities
Digital Channels
- merchandising assistance including visual storytelling, labelling and documentation support for our online product rollout
- potential assistance on buy plan and insights into how product assortment is typically planned
- creative asset localization from HQ branded creative into TMALL and China-appropriate messaging
- day-to-day maintenance and update of TOMS.com.cn office brand site
- Support for adhoc digital campaigns (Thank You, ODWS, etc.) as they come up, in capacities of design, execution, analytics and light deck creation
- some coordination with social media agency to better our existing digital copywriting and storytelling
- administrative support in general market research
Community/Brand
- Provide research and outreach support to potential partners in corporations, lifestyle media, NGOs, campuses, retail brands and other communities as each monthly theme demands
- Coordinate and liaise with community partners to follow up on event & campaign planning, implementation and online promotion
- Build recap portfolio, story assets and presentation decks including outreach efforts, successes and key learning
- Light Photoshop or creation of assets in promotional materials needed for community projects
- Assist in logistics and administrative requests per event basis
- Be a brand ambassador on home campus to amplify the One for One spirit personally and professionally
Technical Qualifications
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop (preferable)
- Interest and skill in photography (preferable)
- Interest and understanding of community outreach, digital commerce and event planning
- Clear and succinct communication skills; quick to build relationships with new teams
- Some ideas of how brands and influencers use social media like Weibo, WeChat, Instagram, etc.
- Sample work to demonstrate fluency in written English and Chinese
- Undergraduate rising junior or senior, or recent Bachelor’s degree graduate in Communications,
- Public Affairs, Business, Sociology or another related fields of study
Personal Attributes
- Big heart! All good must start with the individual self
- Entrepreneurial and nimble with resource. Can create a lot with minimal support.
- Independent thinker
- Analytical; particularly enthusiastic about Excel and numbers in support of regular reporting
