Job Summary:
The Costing Analyst report to Costing Manager, will provide a critical role in TOMS product costing process. They will execute product-level costing reviews, collaborate with the contract manufacturing factory teams reviewing cost breakdown sheets for accuracy and seeks ways to reduce costs without scarifying quality.

? Drive better business practices and decisions by creating better and more reliable cost management financial tools

Essential Functions Responsibilities include:

Optimization of the footwear costing process
? Involvement in the full footwear development, commercialization and production costing process
? Ensuring accurate calculations of material costs for various products
? Review cost breakdown sheets for accuracy
? Perform tooling amortization tracking and create tooling reports for the Brand
? Support audit process for FOB accuracy
? Deepen understanding of fundamental shoe costing process and key cost drivers (design, construction, materials), at the model level, and develop understanding of how model mix, sourcing, pricing and other decisions affect overall category/SBU/Brand profitability
? Ensuring accurate application of duty and freight charges to invoices
? Providing robust analysis of product costing and variances to appropriate business partners and suggest areas for improvement

Cost Negotiations
? Proactively prepare for cost negotiations
? Build reports to support negotiations – identify areas of cost opportunities
? Work collaboratively with factory teams to execute paper pattern and yield/usage analysis
? Execute post season reports (e.g., areas of success vs. challenges)

Financial Analysis / Support
? Preparing cost breakdown sheets
? Analyzing labor, overhead and profit metrics
? Analyzing performance to forecast including preparation of best estimates
? Providing necessary monthly reports
? Partnering with North American Design and Development teams to improve / support line reviews and cost optimization opportunities

Daily Costing
? Performing day to day costing and maintenance of costing
? Ensuring data integrity

Other Responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills:
? Knowledge of costing fundamentals requisite
? Advanced Excel skills
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams
? Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
? Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills
? Ability to independently develop and advocate a point of view
? Ability to implement and sustain process changes
? Experience with SAP a plus

Qualifications:
? Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in product costing
? Experience in working in manufacturing environment executing costing analysis
? Footwear experience

Special Requirements:
? Expect approximately 30% travel
