Title: Sales Operation Manager
Department: Supply Chain
Report to: Director Planning & Order Fulfillment
Location: Shanghai
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the supply chain to support sales within mainland China for all sales channels. This includes ensuring product is shipped on time from factories to distributors and providing sales operations and customer end support.
Job Descriptions
? Manage order fulfillment from sales order creation to shipment for China customers (regular & sample product)
? Manage the sales order fulfillment process from creation to customer receipt, ensuring performance, cost and quality targets are achieved
? Work with customers’, factories’ and TOMS’ supply chain team to ensure that factories and warehouses have the proper routing guides, packaging and labeling specifications
? Answer customer inquiries by clarifying desired information, researching and providing information in an effective and timely manner.
? Ensure China order book is appropriately managed and cleaned up. Proactively communicate with the sales reps and accounts you represent on their open orders; offer substitutions where back orders or cancelled items cannot be met to minimize cancelled orders and maximize sales. Maintain health of order book.
? Manage post-delivery customer service and product returns
? Manage the China product returns process, ensuring expected timeliness, service, cost, visibility and accuracy
? Monitor and support inventory management associated with direct-to-consumer sales and e-commerce sales
? Proactively manage and work across TOMS departments to resolve customer service issues, including mis-shipments, labeling and quality issues. Communicate resolution to the appropriate stakeholders. Takes appropriate action as requested by customer and/or sales rep. Manage any third-party customer service functions for direct-to-consumer channels. Makes any necessary changes to existing orders due to availability, distribution issues or other adjustments that may arise
? Proactively manage and resolve order delivery issues, including coordinating relabeling and repackaging requirements. Communicate resolution to the appropriate stakeholders
? Improve China order fulfillment performance and costs
Working closely with key stakeholders, improve Customer Service performance, quality and costs. Collaboratively establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure KPI targets are achieved.
Collaborating with the broader Supply Chain department, plan, develop and manage departmental improvement plans. Ensure that improvement plans are integrated into overall operating plan
Key Responsibilities
? Working with TOMS’ Logistics, manage China domestic logistics in support of China domestic sales
? Manage sales sample distribution for China sales team
? Provide Account Executives with appropriate support in all endeavors
? Partner with sales and accounts receivable on credit hold issues
? Provide reports and analysis proactively to support sales reps need
? All other duties assigned by senior management
Requirements:
? Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales operations management with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
? Advanced supply chain knowledge and able to use the knowledge to manage performance and drive improvements
? Strong business, leadership, planning and organizing skills; including the ability to provide innovative, strategic ideas to management, communicate value, gain approval and implement effectively
? Exceptional ability to work independently and effectively manage employees in a multi-layer, globally dispersed function.
? Able to mentor and grow talent, including delivering effective performance management messages to subordinates.
? Excellent communication, analytical and project management skills required.
? Ability to participate as a team-member as well as leader in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
? Use sound judgment in decision making with results driven orientation.
? Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
? Ability to identify, communicate and resolve issues in Chinese and English
? Experience in dealing with high-volume consumer products supply chains and enquiries
? Experience work with SAP system
? B.A./B.S. in business or technical area required
? Minimal Travel, mostly domestically within China
