In late 2009, GE Aviation and AVIC Systems of China announced an agreement to form a new joint venture to develop and market integrated avionics systems for commercial aircraft customers. Announced in mid 2010, this business will be providing avionics systems for China’s first large commercial aircraft, the COMAC C919. In this role you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

-Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices. -Lead client organizations in the development of the annual Human Resources reviews, organization structure development, job design, staffing, compensation, and organization change / effectiveness and Engineering cultural transformation/team engagement. -Partner with business leaders on multiple human resource issues, including the following: policies, legislation, processes, and practices; evaluation and development of personnel, annual reviews, and compensation plans; implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean), including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation; staffing and pipeline development. -Provide leadership for the development and execution of Engineering department vision and structure, including development and execution of a communication plan to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place. -Assure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career, and organizational development. -Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives. -Identify recruiting needs, develop sources of qualified candidates; facilitate screening, testing and selection of applicants with management. -Drive HR processes such as e-HR dashboard, annual HR review, organizational effectiveness and performance management. -Responsible for investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching.

Qualifications/Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college -Strong bi-lingual (Chinese & English Fluency) communication skills is a must in consideration of the nature of Joint Venture & diverse team -At least 5 years of proven successful experience as a human resources generalist supporting large organization of 200- 400 people. -Strong inclusive leadership with good coaching skills

-Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred (MHR, MBA). -Proven training & facilitation ability. -Self-initiated with strong problem solving skills. -Cross-cultural sensitivity and flexibility -Strong oral and written communication & interpersonal skills. -Strong leadership skills – positive influencing -Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
