Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

· Provide the technical leadership for assigned projects for process / products attaining quality excellence with cost superiority · Provide support to establish cost estimates and aid in the establishment of manufacturing plans from design concepts · Support shops that lead in the development of programs and methods to optimize productivity, reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses and overall shop cost · Assure adherence to quality control systems plan · Provide engineering support for key customer interface with new part introduction with design and provides advice/counsel to less experienced process / product engineers / specialists · Provide leadership in the development and implementation of new manufacturing techniques to reduce losses and improve quality · Lead technical support of established equipment projects for assigned components · Provide the focus for customer support and response to customer identified problems · Provide shops with total technical support for each established project for the development of the total manufacturing / quality plan for introduction of assigned components · Utilize assigned product engineers / specialists to meet planning, gauging and tooling requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of engineering or manufacturing experience)· At least 3 additional years of experience in manufacturing
