职位描述

Responsibilities:
The Business Development Director’s primary responsibility is to lead a team of Business Development Managers in new brand acquisition. He/she is responsible for achieving the overall new brand acquisition target and corresponding revenue target.

1. Work closely with the Director of Merchandising in developing a comprehensive new brand acquisition strategy.
2. Manage a team of 5-7 BD Managers. Define each BD Manager’s target list of brands, and ensure that each BD Manager achieves or exceeds its monthly targets.
3. Develop a comprehensive new brand acquisition tracking and organizational tool.
4. Continue to develop, finetune and organize the overall company prospect brand contact lists, as well as target list of brands.
5. Work closely with the Director of Merchandising in defining the company’s short term and mid term business development strategy.
6. Initiate contacts with prospective brand principles and/or brand distributors through emails, phone calls, and attending trade shows etc.
7. Perform market research on target list of brands through online research and store visits (both regular and outlet).
8. Develop a thorough understanding of the Glamour Sales platform, including its history, user statistics, and categorical sales performances.
9. Present and explain clearly to prospective brand partners the GLS business model, merits, conditions and terms, as well as process flow.
10. Liaise internally with Merchandise Managers on execution of first sales events.
11. As a Business Development team, achieve or exceed the monthly target sales target, as well as monthly new brand acquisition target.
12. Participate in the recruitment of Business Development Managers.

Requirements:

1. 8+ years of Business Development experience.
2. 6+ years of Business Development experience in the Automotive or real-estate, fashion etc luxury field, with experience dealing with senior company executives (Directors, VPs, GMs).
3. 6+ years of management experience.
4. Experience in multibrand ecommerce site, multibrand distributor, or monobrand retailer required.
5. A strong history of sales goal achievement during career.
6. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
7. Excellent communication skills, including strong written and verbal skills.
8. Strong organizational abilities.
9. Previous ecommerce experience preferred.
10. Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a 4year college or university.
