Job Description
1. As required by the direct responsible (Reporting); define Quality targets for Asia Pacific entities in line with QM guidelines. Track / report quality issues and appropriately follow the developments until their positive conclusion on set frequency basis.
2. Responsibility of defining and leading sub projects that would contribute to the achievement of defined quality parameters thus ensuring a healthy Business growth.
3. Responsibility for defining and setting department wise procedures that would clearly outline its individual / cross-functional role in line to Organization’s strategic growth plan.
4. Responsibility of quality standards definition and creation for external suppliers’ quality and reliability assessment. Define and implement procedures for verification of external suppliers’ quality (processes and products) Report cases of inconsistency between expected suppliers’ quality level and actual ones. Re-allocate production in case of serious/repeated quality problems.
5. Cooperate with the respective Sales teams in understanding Voice of Customers, prepare and execute necessary action plans that would help to contain the problem.
6. Work under close co-operation with General Manager(s) of individual entities and set up their respective Quality Function(s)/ Department.
7. Lead or contribute to specific projects as required by General Management, Central Product Management and Sales Management.
Candidate Profile
1. The successful candidate should have a background a technical background (engineering, physics or chemistry), supported by experience in managing quality systems and processes in large companies.
2. Experience in implementation of quality in processes and procedures throughout the organization (Total Quality Management) would be a major plus.
3. It is extremely important that the candidate integrates in an informal but very pragmatic working environment, based on a very lean, yet extremely focused, organization where associates take tasks with full ownership and responsibility.
4. The candidate should agree that pursuit of the targets shall never come at the expense of respect for each individual. We believe that impressive results should always come together with great personal satisfaction.
