Scope of Job
Supplier quality work is a part of the purchasing department in the company’s BU2 organization. The prime role of supplier quality supervisor is to manage the central SQE team and take the responsibility of:
1) China/overseas existing supplier quality development and new supplier validation to meet the company’s quality standard requirement.
2) Ensure purchasing parts (production material) quality for both regional and global project.
Responsibilities:
1. To establish supplier quality management procedure working instruction according to cooperate strategy and regional BU development footprint and purchasing strategy
2. To establish supplier quality annual target and monitor to meet objectives in support of business development and contribute to achievement of annual operational budgets.
3. Be responsible for BU2 China supplier quality management and coordinate the supplier performance evaluation (database of process capability, audit result, commercial, service, on time delivery).
4. Accomplishment supplier APQP/PPAP works related with new inducted project before SOP
5. Initiate supplier quality continuous improvement (e.g. free incoming inspection) after SOP (coordinate with plant quality to define SQE matrix as per common supplier management, distance sensitive, BU SQE team resource, etc. and monitor supplier development result)
6. Work closely with buyer team to optimize China supplier panel. Monitor supplier capabilities and market trends and develop vendor relationships
7. Support global project to development new supplier and manage current supplier to make sure the supplier PPAP could be approved successfully
8. To establish purchasing team internal working process and achieve annual audit from internal / third party.
9. Frequent travelling requirement (>30% working days)
10. Other individual tasks from the superior
Requirement
1. Bachelor degree
2. >10 years supplier quality management experience in Automotive industry TIER1 and >3 years SQE team leader experience
3. Excellent English both in oral and written. Prefer understand Japanese or /German (basic level).
4. A broad understanding of supply market structures. Detailed knowledge of quality assurance/standard related rules/laws, general terms & condition of Automotive industry
5. A broad understanding of the company’s product and detailed knowledge of metal, non-metal, electron-mechanical assembly commodity portfolio.
6. Awareness of the company business / corporate strategy and well understanding of the appropriateness of different purchasing, project management, production requirement.
7. Strong sense of self-motivation & responsibility and efficiency of execution of given tasks.
8. Logic thinking, open minded, target approaching; be able to take pressure
9. Cross-function team cooperation ability (team work with R&D, different BU plant, the company Global team) Correct exchange information within or outside the company
10. Ability to express a subject clearly and understandable and convince business partner and other functional department.
11. Ability to categorize work priority according to importance.
12. 3 years SQE team leader experience in Automotive industry company (prefer central function manager or equivalent level (e.g. plant quality manager)
13. Ability to supervise, instruct, manage, challenge and train employees.
14. Ability to effective/smooth coordination between central purchasing, regional plant quality and other functional department in order to provide the optimum service for the business.
15. Ability of problem solving with comprehensive changing situations.
16. Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities.
17. Detailed skill of reporting & summary for the quality related data
