The Visual Merchandising Supervisor belongs to the Retail department and reports to the Manager who will supervise the Visual Merchandising.
This Department aims at providing an attractive shopping environment and making the store visually good appealing to the customers for tempting them to buy.
Mission
Under the responsibility of the Retail Manager, the Visual Merchandising Supervisor creates adapted windows and in-store displays with the aim of promoting goods in order to maximize sales.
As an expert in his/her field, the Visual Merchandising Supervisor is a reference to the Visual Merchandising & Sales teams: he/she is an inspiring & advising influence.


Key Duties & Activities
1. Display creation & development
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor develops a qualitative and quantitative range of displays, thanks to the ID Studio, that should respect the Company’s style and image:
o Creation and development of exclusive displays for Cache-Cache, adapted to the store concept, to the brand image and that correspond to the market trends,
o Development of a qualitative display sourcing,
The Visual Merchandiser Supervisor makes sure that all the displays that are developed by the VM team are coherent: he/she is the warrant of the coordination of the collection in terms of visual merchandising.
He/She should control the quality of the job done by the VM team.
He/She is in charge of the creation of a long-term and short-term display planning that should be strictly respected by the team.

2. Market Monitoring
The Visual Merchandiser organizes the weekly benchmark so as to identify the novelties and the trends.
o Visit regularly the competitors’ shops in order to study their display and to get inspiration,
o Visit regularly the shops of the brands to check the display.
Make sure that the VM recommendations are followed. If it’s not the case, bring corrective actions and alert the HQ Sales team.
3. Sales performance follow-up
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor controls and analyses the impact of the displays over the sales performance: did it push, or not the sales?
In case of absence of positive result, the VM Supervisor should implement corrective actions.
In addition, he/she also follows-up, every week, the Sales Performance of the Product offer (i.e. Best/Bad/Starting-up) in order to understand the Cache-Cache customers’ expectations and preferences and to guide the next displays.
4. Supervision of the Visual Merchandising team & Training of the Area Visual Merchandisers
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor helps :
o Optimize the team organization and the responsibilities of all the team members:
? Assign the right project to the right person,
? Control that the processes of the whole team are followed,
? Review and improve, if it is necessary, these processes in order to increase the efficiency and productivity of the team on an on-going basis,
? Train the team to make it grow,
o Lead and coach the VM team so that it can reach high level of performances,
o Set clear objectives to the team members and ensure that all of them complete their tasks,
o Communicate and give accurate directions to the team.
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor is also responsible for the training of the Area and in-store Visual Merchandisers, to make sure that they all respect the brand image requirements.
This implies the creation of the training material and the animation of the training sessions.
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor commits in respecting all new tasks and / or instructions requested by its Manager and to accept all missions that could be entrusted to him/her in the frame of its competencies and professional experience.
