Job Description Summary:

This position will be responsible and managing daily import and export in support of regional Asia operations and ensuring activities are in compliance with corporate policies and procedures related to Customs and Other Government Agencies. Additionally this position will support overall logistics activities. This position supports multiple cross-function teams, including, Corporate, Global Sourcing Team and the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

? Coordination of efforts to meet and maintain high performance levels for import/export requirements, in which entails to monitor & audit daily import and export entry transactions are in compliant with Customs, including, but not limited to resolve discrepancies, request corrective action with customs administrative entry submission as appropriate. Review and develop retention program to retain all necessary import / export related documentation for APAC & China markets.
? Develop, validate, and enhance Country of Origin determination process from import of raw materials to export of finished goods and all products in between. Coordinate & retain key product information with purchasing/costing team to request Country of Origin certificate for raw materials, identify new products and bill of materials. Key liaison to request & complete 3PL to execute FTA documents or General Certificate of Origin.
? Conducts research, determine, and assign accurate tariff classification, country of origin, valuation, etc of raw materials / finished goods and supports Trade Compliance Team. Retain key documentation to support these tasks & maintains / manage this task through multiple software platforms: SAP / ERP, Integration Point, and Customs broker.
? Coordination of efforts to meet and maintain acceptable performance levels with regards to compliance objectives with an ability to proactively support, train, and communicate external partners. Also, participating with Sr Compliance manager to assess service / compliance level through monthly & quarterly metrics reports. Responsible for maintaining training programs and modify as required.
? Be part and conduct annual internal / external Customs audit for APAC markets to ensure development and effectiveness of internal and external controls are aligned with current policies & procedures.
? Communicate with internal and external customers/vendors, freight forwarders/customs brokers, government agencies and other functional areas to ensure coordination of imports and exports.
? Support & drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure best class process, including logistics and trade compliance projects
? Provide assistance to Global / Regional Logistics & Compliance teams as needed
? Key liaison to all relevant customs authorities in Asia.
? Keep abreast of all legislative and regulatory changes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

? Education: BS/BA in Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Logistics, International Trade, or equivalent experience.
? Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of related trade compliance or import/export experience.
? Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%
? Knowledge / Skills / Ability:
? Expertise or at working knowledge of footwear is A-plus.
? Demonstrated HTS classification, Customs regulations and/or industry practice, Customs compliance experience / procedures. Detailed understanding of HTS, GRI, Chapter Notes, and General Notes is a key.
? Detail oriented with emphasis on following up in a fast paced environment.
? Interpersonal communication skills, relationship management, and collaboration skills is a must. Ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise.
? Attentions to details, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
? Adaptive to fast and continuous change, as well as to quickly analyze, document, and defend subjective matter.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Proficient in Excel, Access, as well as SAP or other ERP.
? Ability to work independently.
