Purpose of the Job

As part of the HR service delivery organization he/she will:

1. Provide assistance to line Managers to assure efficient HR support

2. Understand business/ functional needs and advise managers to choose from a range of choices across a series of HR sub- processes (e.g. recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, training etc.)

3. Acts as deputy to HRD and act HRD’s role during his/her absence

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proactively works with and advises managers/team leaders and employees on people issues, organizational concerns and provides direction and advice in the application of standard Company policies and practices especially in a changing organization.

2. In conjunction with the Operation VP and I&E commercial leader to identify operation and engineering improvement opportunities and business opportunities within his/her area of responsibility and contributes to finding of appropriate solutions especially in a changing organization.

3. Identifies people development needs within his/ her area of responsibility and proposes learning plan to the Team Leader, acts as a facilitator to implement the training programs Supports sourcing (internal interviews), development and succession planning processes according to business need

4. In conjunction with the HR leader implements the People strategy to deliver distinctive performance in people management, working towards continuous improvement.

5. Provides coaching for team leaders and employee

6. Coordinates staff transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations

7. Conducts exit interviews and employee induction sessions

8. Communicates HR Processes and policies to employees to ensure understanding

9. Is aware of customer expectations as defined by performance review process and contributes to achieving customer satisfaction

10. Takes ownership of the Engineering Project established company-wide, establish skill matrix, design career paths, drive the learning and development activities, job rotation across different BU’s/functions for all the engineers and technicians in the Company.

11. Other assigned projects or tasks by HR Leader.

Requirements:

1. At least 8 years broad professional experience in the HR function

2. Has awareness of both commercial and operation/production side of the business and how HR supports the business strategy.

3. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

4. Strong coaching and facilitation skills, ability to challenge status quo

5. Knowledge of local employment law and regulations

6. Strong working knowledge of BP’s HR policies, practices & procedures.

7. Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skill.

8. Strong capability to adapt to changing environment.

Job Location: Taicang
Daily shuttle bus are offered to commute from Shanghai/Suzhou to Taicang.
